Today the Chronci Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0 which makes untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 on terminals that do not have such a jailbreak done. Considering that many owners of iDevices released before iPad 2 already had a tethered jailbreak, Rocky Racoon was released in Cydia, and with its help you can turn a tethered jailbreak into an untethered one, but only on iOS 5.1.1. Only the following iDevices with iOS 5.1.1 installed are compatible with this patch:
- iPhone 3GS – tethered jailbreak;
- iPhone 4;
- iPad;
- iPod Touch 3G;
- iPod Touch 4G.
To install Rocky Racoon you have to open Cydia, search for Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether and install it. After installation, restart your idevice and it should be untethered.
