The Wall Street Journal confirms the changes inside the Maps application for iOS 6 and the break between Apple and Google

For several weeks we have been told that Apple would give up the partnership with Google for the Google Maps system and as in iOS 6 we will see a new application with the help of which we will be able to position ourselves on the map. The famous publication also contributes to all the rumors that have appeared so far The Wall Street Journal which announces that iOS 6 will cause a break between Google and Apple, the company from Cupertino launching its new mapping system plus a new Maps application that will be independent of Google Maps.

Later this year, Apple is planning to release Google Maps as the preloaded, default maps app from the iPhone and iPad and release a new mapping app that runs Apple's own technology, according to current and former Apple employees. Apple could preview the new software, which will be part of its next mobile-operating system, as soon as next week at its annual developer conference in San Francisco, one person familiar with the plans says. Apple plans to encourage app developers to embed its maps inside their applications like social-networking and search services.

The presentation of the new application could take place on Monday, when Apple will hold the opening keynote of WWDC 2012, the most important event within WWDC. Then we might see for the first time the new interface of the Maps application, as well as the maps that Apple designed, but for now no one knows 100% for sure if the system is ready for a world presentation. Even so, the system will be officially launched in the fall together with iOS 6 and Apple will distance itself from its traditional partner Google, a move that many have been waiting for for several years.
