QuickIM allows you to quickly respond to messages received on Facebook and soon to those received on Yahoo Messenger!

The notification system implemented by Apple in iOS 5 allows users to quickly see notifications from applications with the help of notification banners displayed above any interface. If a user clicks on a notification banner, then the application that issues the notification is automatically opened and some consider this system a little wrong. Users have asked Apple and package developers for Cydia to develop tweaks that allow quick responses to messages from any other iOS application or menu, and the latter complied. Quick Reply for WhatsAppAwesomeQuickMessagesQuick Reply for Messenger have been launched so far, and tonight I'm talking about QuickIM, a tweak that allows you to quickly reply to messages received on Facebook or Google Chat.

Using Facebook or Google chat is one of the most convenient ways to stay in touch with your friends but until now, doing so on iOS has been inconvenient to say the least – in order to carry on a conversation with apps such as Beejive and IM+ you are limited to having to switch back and forth between whatever you are working on and the respective chat application. Thanks to QuickIM this is a thing of the past! QuickIM is the first multi-protocol chat client designed specifically for jailbroken iOS devices featuring quick-reply and quick-compose. With QuickIM you no longer have to leave what you are working on to answer an IM message. You can now quickly reply to incoming messages and quickly compose new messages. QuickIM currently supports Facebook and Google Chat and will support AIM and Yahoo soon, and best of all its FREE!

QuickIM allows you to quickly reply to your messages through notification banners, but it also allows you to quickly compose messages using its intuitive interface. The message writing interface is displayed above any other iOS interface and for now QuickIM allows you to write/reply to messages received via Facebook or Google Chat, but soon compatibility with AIM and Yahoo Messenger will be implemented. QuickIM is available for free in Cydia, the BigBoss repo.
