Sony is preparing the launch of a new tablet from the Xperia series

Sony is one of the manufacturers that tried to reach at least the iPad tablet in popularity and sales, but for now it has failed miserably with tablets that consumers in major markets have ignored. Sony does not give up though prepares to launch a new tablet with a somewhat interesting design and a hardware as good as that existing in other Android tablets. The tablet from the Xperia series will have a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, an 8 megapixel camera, a 6000 mAh battery (half the capacity of the iPad 3), 10 hours of autonomy and a starting price of only $400 .

Although the tablet does not amaze with anything in particular, the price is more than competitive in a market where 7-inch tablets are struggling to attract consumers and the market for tablets with a 10-inch screen is dominated by the iPad. I would like Sony and other manufacturers to amaze users and offer something better than the iPad, but at the moment I don't really see how this tablet could convince many users not to buy the iPad 2, for example.
