Sparrow is a famous application for iOS and OS X that allows users to manage their email accounts very simply and easily. The application is highly appreciated among users of Apple products, but unfortunately a few weeks ago Google has acquired the company that created Sparrow and announced that the company's products will no longer be developed, but only minor updates will be published. This happened last night when a new version of Sparrow was released in the App Store and it only brings the option to open web links using Google Chrome and not Safari, the rest of the news being bug fixes:
- Webpages can be opened in Chrome
- Improved IMAP compatibility
- Improved avatars behavior
- Various bug fixes
Sparrow for iOS is available for €2.39 in the App Store, but the application does not send push notifications when you receive an email and is not worth purchasing since it will no longer evolve.
