Apple is trying to prevent the sale of iDevices in South Korea

A few weeks ago I told you that dozens of Samsung and Apple terminals will be removed from sale in South Korea after a court decided that both companies infringed each other's patents. iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1 and iPad 2 are to be removed from sale in South Korea together with 12 Samsung terminals, but Apple has already submitted, to the court that issued this decision, a motion requesting a suspension of the decision to remove the devices from sale. It is not known what reasons Apple invoked in this request, but the important thing is whether the court will approve it or not.

Apple filed for a stay of execution with the Seoul Central District Court on September 10 to rescind the sales ban on the iPhone in Korea. The request is because of the ruling of August 24 handed down by its civil chamber that Apple had infringed upon Samsung's 3G patents and the iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPad1 and 2 should not be transferred, rented, imported or displayed.

In order for the iDevices to be removed from sale, Samsung must fulfill certain legal procedures, and the Koreans are of course interested in fulfilling them as soon as possible. If those 4 iDevices will really be removed from sale, then the impact on Apple will be reduced considering that they are not the top of the range and do not generate very high sales.
