In the Bloggers Bus Tour I had the opportunity to learn about an interesting application called Lumify which transforms video clips from your terminals into small works of art. The application was developed by a company that started its activity in Silicon Valley and basically it allows you to transform long films of several minutes/tens of minutes into montages of only a few seconds that contain the most important moments. The application uses special algorithms to choose the best moments from one or more video clips selected by users, who only have to add a song to the background and upload the 20-second clip to a social network.
The idea behind Lumify is to give users the opportunity to enhance their video materials made with their own terminals, and this cannot be done if that material is a few minutes and a few hundred MB. Lumify extracts the essential from the video clips we made, rearranges it in an interesting montage, makes it short enough to be uploaded anywhere and to be viewed quickly, but the developers of the application do not say what "magic" is hidden behind it. Lumify can reproduce montages in 1080p format, so you can add movies recorded with any of your iDevices, the important thing is to have done something interesting in them.

Lumify is available for free in the App Store, it only works on iPhone/iPod Touch and I think it's worth trying to highlight the important moments in your life.
