The FBI warns the owners of Android terminals about the existing malware on the Internet

Just a few days ago the FBI published a report in which it warns the owners of Android terminals about the dangers they face when browsing the Internet from their own mobile terminal. Those from the FBI present only two types of malware in the report, they say that they can steal data from mobile terminals without much effort and recommend Android terminal owners to be very careful how they use their devices. The report from the FBI is just an alarm signal raised on the problems that the Android platform has, a platform in which users do not, unfortunately, have the certainty that they can surf the Internet without being, against their will, exploited by hackers .

The IC3 has been made aware of various malware attacking Android operating systems for mobile devices. Some of the latest known versions of this type of malware are Loozfon and FinFisher. Loozfon is an information-stealing piece of malware. Criminals use different variants to lure the victims. One version is a work-at-home opportunity that promises a profitable payday just for sending out email. A link within these advertisements leads to a website that is designed to push Loozfon on the user's device. The malicious application steals contact details from the user's address book and the infected device's phone number.

In this respect, Android is similar to Windows, both operating systems need protection through antivirus and anti-adware software, in the event that users care about what happens in their own products. Google has always promoted open systems, this is a negative effect of this kind of policies, and all those who purchase such terminals accept their existence.
