Nokia Here for iOS, here are the first images

Last night I told you that Nokia will soon launch an application called Nokia Here in the App Store which will allow users to replace iOS 6 Maps without much effort. application will provide traffic information, will guide pedestrians to locations, has turn-by-turn navigation and a function called Around Me which displays attractions and businesses near your location. In theory, the application sounds great, but the bad part is that it is designed in HTML 5, it was designed to be usable online, and this is where the first problems will appear.

If iOS 6 Maps is based on vector technology and has a very large cache limit, the Nokia Here application is not designed this way, the information will have to be reloaded every time you zoom or change the location, so it will consume quite a lot of internet traffic. Even with this limitation given by the internet, the good part is that the application allows you to save the maps in the terminals for later use, but you have to make sure that you have enough space available.

I think Nokia Here will finally be a good alternative for iOS 6 Maps, of course until Google Maps arrives in the App Store.
