A few weeks ago I told you that a group of researchers from the famous Oxford University have designed a system which allows cars to be controlled to be driven using tablets iPad, and a group of Russians thought they could do exactly the same thing. Modifying her Opel Vectra they did it to install a system that allowed them to drive the car directly from the tablet, and the video clip above demonstrates everything. The car can be controlled with the help of an iPad 3 tablet, but their changes only allow the brake and accelerator pedals to be fully actuated, "up to the floor", so everything needs to be improved.

The Russians started with this system and want to develop one that will allow them to control the car through an internet connection, which they will probably achieve at some point if they managed to make these changes with a lot of ingenuity and not too many money.
