PrimeSense is the company that developed the technology on the basis of which the sensor was developed Kinect, later sold by Microsoft as an accessory for Xbox consoles. A publication from Israel says that a delegation composed of members of the PrimeSens management team visited the headquarters Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), from Cupertino in recent days, the Americans being interested in buying the company, offering between 280 and 300 million dollars for it. As you can see from the video clips of this article, those at PrimeSens are specialized in the development of technologies that allow controlling electronic objects using gestures, the same thing offered by Kinect and more.

Apple would have already licensed part of its PrimeSense technology to some competing companies to develop the TV we've been hearing about in recent years, but in the end the Americans seem to have decided that acquiring the entire company would be a better solution. Using these gesture control systems, and analysis/recognition of users' bodies, Apple can launch a TV with an extremely interesting interface and functions, it could completely change the TV industry, but everything is probably a few years away from being realized.

A possible implementation of these technologies in iDevices is most likely excluded, but an accessory that could connect to Apple TV could offer us the possibility to control it using gestures, and from here the transition could be made much easier on a regular TV.
