Samsung ChatOn is a platform specially developed by Samsung to compete with iMessage, Blackberry Messenger and other text messaging services, and in almost 2 years it has gathered no less than 100 million active users. In October 2011 ChatOn was officially launched by Samsung on several mobile platforms, and in these 2 years the service he collected a user base that counts 100 million accounts and I assume that these are active users, although Samsung does not clearly specify this.

Samsung Electronics is proud to announce that ChatON now has a global subscriber base of over 100 million users. The service was launched in October 2011, hitting the 50 million subscriber mark in May 2013 and doubling that number to 100 million only four months later.

Unlike other similar services, except iMessage, ChatOn allows the use of the service directly from PCs, in the case of iMessage an application for Macs is available, but something similar for Windows does not exist. Samsung managed to grow a fairly large platform, it is much smaller than Apple's iMessage or the WhatsApp Messenger network, but surely in the coming years the number of users will double.
