If in 2013 Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), proves that a smartphone with a 64-bit dual-core processor and 1 GB RAM has better performance than chips with 8 cores and 2/3 GB RAM, well in 2014 we are talking about a completely different battle. Android terminal manufacturers are trying to prove to us that the operating system needs at least as much RAM as a desktop, so Samsung is going to implement in future smartphones up to 4 GB DDR4 RAM to cover the needs of all types of users.
The new DDR4 chips developed by Samsung offer up to 50% better performance than DDR3 chips, while energy consumption is reduced by up to 40%.
