HTC One M8 cheats in benchmarks

HTC One M8 2014 was launched this week by HTC and he has already been tested by a multitude of publications from all over the world. Although last year there was a rather big scandal in connection with cheating in the benchmark- used for smartphone testing Android, HTC he doesn't seem to have learned anything from him. I say this because HTC One M8 use exactly the same methods of cheating in benchmarks, and in the image above you can see exactly what I mean.

On the left you have the benchmarking application AnTuTu, and on the right the application AnTuTu X, the second being launched to prevent terminal manufacturers Android to cheat in benchmarks. In the old application you notice that HTC One M8 it gets one score, in the ninth another, and the difference is 30% in performance between the two applications. The second application provides the real result for the general performance of the terminal, the first one provides a result obtained by temporarily increasing the frequency of the processor, it not being used in the daily use of the device.

Those from HTC have admitted that they use a so-called Developer Mode to obtain these performances and allow users to use this mode all the time, the problem being that it drastically reduces battery autonomy. To be honest, I don't really understand why manufacturers choose to cheat in benchmarks so that later users complain about poor performance or poor autonomy, but probably all these years of "following" the iPhone have not learned nothing from the Asians.
