During the day yesterday I told you that a hacker is holding hostages iPhoneand tablets iPad in Australia, blocking us with the system Find My iPhone and asking users for money to unlock them. Although it was speculated from the very beginning that in the middle there could be a phishing attack through which the hacker would have obtained the login data of Apple IDused with those terminals and would have blocked them, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), offered an official position.

Apple takes security very seriously and iCloud was not compromised during this incident. Impacted users should change their Apple ID password as soon as possible and avoid using the same user name and password for multiple services. Any users who need additional help can contact AppleCare or visit their local Apple Retail Store.

According to information provided by members of the Cupertino PR team, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), denies the existence of any exploitation of the system iCloud by the hacker to block the terminals. The statement of those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is as logical as possible because it was hard to believe that everything would have been based on a hack iCloud, but the problem itself was not solved for users.

This is the first time that a hacker is holding Apple's iDevices hostage and demanding money to unlock them, the unprecedented situation with no easy solution for users.
