Here are the secret apps Apple employees use

  Separate from the apps they offer publicly in App Store for our iDevices, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has a wide variety of internal applications that its employees use to use Wi-Fi networks on campus and beyond. In this article I will talk about the secret applications that Apple employees use inside the Cuperino campus, or in other offices and stores, these applications being only available through their dedicated servers. The apps are also used to test Apple's upcoming services, so you'll only see what employees have available at any given time.

  1. AppleConnect – allows access to secure Wi-Fi networks inside company campuses:

  3. GKTank – a game developed to present the novelties brought by GameKit;
  4. Inferno – runs a series of tests to verify the functionality of an iPhone;
  5. MobileGenius – the app used by the geniuses in Apple Stores to check for products under repair, appointments and more;
  6. MobileRadar – the application used by employees to report operational problems of Apple software;
  7. Operator – the application used to test the various components of iDevices;
  8. Switchboard – system dedicated to Apple Store employees who download and update Apple applications;
  9. UniBox – application through which notifications are sent to Apple employees.
