Nokia HERE Maps will be launched on iOS, here's when (Video)

Nokia HERE Maps is one of the most popular GPS navigation services available for smartphones and tablets available on several platforms around the world, and the Finnish company has confirmed the relaunch of the version for iOS. Withdrawn from the App Store more than a year ago, the application will be relaunched at the beginning of next year, but in a completely redone version to allow users to have an improved user experience.

Following the positive reviews of HERE for Android, a lot of people have expressed their interest in an iOS version of our app. We really appreciate this interest and demand. Our iOS app development team is working hard on this and we plan to officially launch HERE for iOS in early 2015.

Nokia HERE Maps has been available in beta version for the Android platform for several months and based on the great interest in a dedicated iPhone and iPad version, the Finnish company decided to develop an application for the iOS platform. Nokia claims that its development team is working hard to produce Nokia HERE Maps for our mobile terminals, so it remains to be seen how quickly it can reach the App Store for installation.

The decision to withdraw Nokia HERE Maps from the App Store was based on the incompatibility of the application with iOS 7, the refusal of those from Nokia to make their application compatible with the new version of the operating system finally led to its complete withdrawal, but since 2015 we will have it again.
