Cortana for iOS and Android has been confirmed by Microsoft (Video)

Cortana iOSCortana for iOS and Android was confirmed today by the Microsoft company, those from Redmond finally announcing their intentions to bring the well-known virtual assistant to the two mobile platforms. In the video clip below you have a presentation of the Cortana assistant for iOS and Android, it allows users to find answers to questions similar to those recorded for Siri or the Google Now system, in various tests done so far the Apple and Google assistants have come out victorious .

Cortana will be offered in iOS and Android in the form of a dedicated application that will allow access to the Microsoft system, including integration with Windows 10 to allow communication between terminals. Although those from Microsoft say that the Cortana assistant will work best only in tandem with Windows 10, the application dedicated to iOS and Android can work alone without problems.

Today, we're announcing a Cortana application for Android phones and for iPhones which works as a companion to Cortana on your Windows 10 PC. The 'Phone Companion' app on the PC will help you install the Cortana app from the Google Play or Apple App Store onto your phone so you'll be able to take the intelligence of Cortana with you, wherever you go. The Cortana companion will be available for Android phones at the end of June and for iPhones later this year.

Cortana for iOS is going to be available for the Android platform from June and for the iOS platform at the end of this year, those from Microsoft focusing on bringing everything initially into the Google ecosystem, but the rules are more relaxed. The interesting part of Cortana for these mobile terminals lies in the fact that users will be able to access the content from their own computers, all without much effort.

Unfortunately, Cortana for iOS and Android will not have the same functions as in the case of the Windows Phone platform, but this was to be expected considering that Microsoft does not want to offer those on other platforms all the benefits existing on its platforms.
