Google Cardboard brings virtual reality to the iPhone

Google cardboardGoogle Cardboard is a project launched a few years ago by the Google company, with the role of allowing Android application developers to test a rudimentary device for virtual reality. At Google I/O 2015 today, Google announced that the Google Cardboard Viewer application will also be available for the iOS platform, so that iPhone owners can build themselves a cardboard box that they can use to try augmented reality.

Google Cardboard also comes with a new SDK that allows the development of visible content in the Google Cardboard Viewer on the iPhone, the Google company extending the compatibility of the application to smartphones with screens larger than 6 inches. Basically, now Google is finally bringing the application to Apple's platform, even though few people have asked for its porting for iDevices.

You can find more information about Google Cardboard here, and the application will be available in the following hours in the App Store.
