Facebook allows you to subscribe to events taking place near you, the new system being offered for users who want to discover the important events that are going to take place around the location where they are in order not to lose anything of interest.
In the images in this article you can see what the new system looks like, it being displayed for certain contacts who organize events within Facebook, displaying a button that allows you to subscribe to find out what events are taking place near your location.
Considering that the option is active only for certain contacts or pages, your subscription will display information only when the respective account organizes an event located near you, a notification will then be displayed in Facebook when the event will be created.
As you can see from the second image, when you click on the main subscription button, you will be directed to a secondary menu where additional information is displayed, including the button that allows you to subscribe or unsubscribe after good pleasure
In order for this system to display events near your location to work correctly, it is necessary for the Facebook application to be able to retrieve information about your location, so you must give it access to GPS from the iOS Privacy menu.
Subscribing or unsubscribing from receiving information on events near your location can be done very quickly from the accounts you are subscribed to, but of course you can also control everything from the Events menu of the More section of the Facebook application.
The function of discovering events near your location was not actively promoted by the Facebook company, but it has been available for some time in the More section, now there are also buttons that allow you to subscribe directly from the pages of certain contacts.
