Sony can turn any table into a touch screen

Those from Sony were present at SXSW to present new and interesting technologies, and among them is a projector capable of turning a simple table into a touch screen, all in just a few seconds after turning on the device.

According to those from Sony, the product presented at SXSW, in the form of a concept for now, uses depth sensors and a motion monitoring system to be able to interpret the movements of users and figure out what kind of objects are placed in front of the sensors.

The concept presented at SXSW was thought by Sony to allow the presentation of the Alice in Wonderland story, the opening of the book initiating the display of a variety of animations that can be controlled using movements made on the table, and the images below show everything as clearly as possible.

Moreover, users can interact with the virtual interface created by Sony, it responds to any kind of interactions made by users, hand movements being tracked to allow controlling a variety of functions that would not normally be available in such a system.

Sony's technology is currently limited, but because we are only talking about a concept, the company will develop it into a product that will be able to replace touch tables with projectors that will transform much larger surfaces into touch interfaces.
