Google Chrome is the most used browser on mobile terminals

Google Chrome is without question the most used browser for browsing the Internet using mobile terminals, the company Google announcing yesterday that over 1 billion users use monthly the iOS and Android versions of the application.

Google announced in November that over 800 million Android and iOS users use the browser Google Chrome monthly to surf the Internet, and the figure has now passed 1 billion, so we are talking about a very rapid increase in the number of people using it.

To put the announcement in perspective, Google also provided some figures on how users use their browser on mobile terminals around the world, the American company managing to make a browser that surpassed Safari for iOS.

Here are some statistics on the use of Google Chrome

  • 771 billion pages loaded monthly;
  • 500 billion unwritten characters thanks to the use of texterlo's autocompletion system for searches;
  • 2 million GB of data traffic saved by Chrome's function to reduce the size of pages;
  • 3.6 billion pages automatically translated every month;
  • 9.1 million text fields filled automatically monthly with passwords;
  • 145 million protections against malicious pages.

Google Chrome is distributed free of charge through the App Store and Google Play.
