Robot furniture controlled through an iOS application

Here, the smart furniture appeared that allows the transformation of a room from a bedroom into a living room with a simple push of a button.

MIT Media Labl in collaboration with designer Yves Béhar have created a system that can triple the available space in a room. Ori furniture is inspired by the Japanese art of origami paper folding, which I think many of you have heard of, and offers the feeling of luxury in a small space.

What does this robot furniture offer? Support for TV, books and other small items. There is also a bed and drawers for clothes and linen. The furniture assembly can be moved to one side or the other with the help of wheels, pressing a button. When it is moved to one side, the room turns into an office or living room, and when it is moved to the other side, the space turns into a bedroom.

Each room can be preset for a space, including preferred integrated lighting, so that one touch on the physical interface or on the corresponding app will morph the room.

The on-device console uses manual glider buttons that make the owner feel as though they are magically moving the unit.

Users can also adjust settings with a smartphone app, so the camera will be configured the way they want when they get home.
