How Michael Fassbender tried to escape the role of Steve Jobs

Michael Fassbender is one of the most popular and appreciated actors in Hollywood, and although his performance in the movie Steve Jobs was praised by critics, he would not have wanted to be in the main role. Michael Fassbender was not the first choice of those who produced the film, Leonardi DiCaprio and Christian Bale initially refusing the proposed role.

Michael Fassbender still agreed to become Steve Jobs in the film that received more praise than money from the fans of the former president of the Apple company. Although he initially agreed with the role, Michael Fassbender quickly realized that it did not suit him and even thought of ways to get rid of the chore of playing Steve Jobs.

Things went so far, that Michael Fassbender at one point even thought of breaking his hand in order to be allowed to break the contract with the production company. Of course, this did not happen, and he gave an exceptional performance, even if the ticket sales in the cinemas were not up to his performance.

"During rehearsals, I try to find a way to escape from this job. I remember the moment when I said to the driver "If I put my hand between the door and the body, you should push the door hard. I would have to break my hand and thus get rid of the role." Everything Aaron Sorkin wrote was so complex. It was like a mountain and I studied so hard, that when the script came and the opportunity appeared, I thought that the role was not for me, that I was wrongly chosen."
