The iPhone 7 audio adapter has a DAC converter

The 3.5mm adapter of the iPhone 7 has been disassembled to show us the DAC converter used by Apple inside it.

You already know that iPhone 7 comes with a 3.5mm audio adapter that allows connecting standard headphones to the new smartphone via the Lightning port. Before the implementation of this adapter it was speculated that it was going to include a DAC converter to facilitate listening to music, and this turns out to be true, as you can see below.

A GSM service in Vietnam opened a 3.5mm adapter for iPhone 7 in order to show us what is hidden inside, and that Digital-to-audio converter is clearly visible. This DAC converter has the markings 338S00140 / A0MU1621 / TW, is similar to the one used in EarPods and is most likely manufactured by Cirrus Logic.

This DAC converter is necessary to be able to play sound through the Lightning port, but as we told you today, the iPhone 7 plays poor quality music through it. Of course, Apple knew this, but in fact almost everyone expected such a result, but Apple chose to give up the 3.5mm audio port anyway.
