iOS 10 – widget applications in LockScreen

Apple has created a special section with applications for iOS 10 that contain widgets with information that can be accessed from the Lockscreen.

The option to display widgets in the LockScreen was implemented by the Apple company starting with iOS 10 for all applications available in the AppStore. Any kind of application developer for the iOS platform can create a widget to display in the iOS 10 LockScreen widgets with information or shortcuts to their application.

Those from Apple put a lot of emphasis on this functionality when presenting iOS 10, and application developers took care to pay attention to Apple's grievances. In this idea, the launch of iOS 10 came with a multitude of applications of this kind published in the AppStore, the Apple company also making a selection for the best of them.

More precisely, we are talking about several dozen applications for iOS 10 grouped in a section called Do More on your Lockscreen, having widgets implemented by developers. We are talking about only a part of the applications for LockScreen that have available widgets, their number in the AppStore being much, much higher than that.

After installation, these applications will work like normal ones, some of them are probably already in your terminals, but you will be able to activate the widgets. To do this, swipe from left to right in the LockScreen and you will display the respective menu, and there press the option Edit, Edit, to add new widgets.
