iOS 10.1 it is almost as fast as iOS 9.3.5 in two new performance tests that were published yesterday, showing us that Apple is still doing something good. The differences in performance between the two operating systems are very small or even non-existent in many situations of using the devices.
To be honest, I'm surprised to see how small the difference in performance is between iOS 9.3.5 and iOS 10.1 on the iPhone 5S, or even the iPhone 6S. Those from Apple managed to optimize the new version of the operating system so well that performing the update does not seem to affect in any way the experience of the end user of the product.
Although on these two terminals, iOS 9.3.5 and iOS 10.1 have very close performances, things could be different on iPhone 5 terminals. Those iPhone models are old and have hardware with lower processing power than the one implemented in iPhone 5S or iPhone 6S, so in their case the final performances will be quite different.
Despite this, starting with the iPhone 5S, the difference in performance between iOS 9.3.5 and iOS 10.1 is practically non-existent. What experience have you had with the two versions of the operating system.
