Facebook Messenger allows ads to be displayed to users

Already announced for some time, the big change for Facebook Messenger is almost ready for launch, and the application will allow companies to display ads to users. We are talking here about the direct display of messages in the chat interface of users, the companies' virtual robots will allow this.

According to one of Facebook's vice presidents, these ads will initially be displayed in the News Feed of the Facebook application starting this week. After the user gets in touch with the company in question, it will be able to send him advertisements whenever he wants, even directly in the chat interface, which is currently impossible.

Although we are talking about a major change prepared by Facebook, the American company still intends to protect users against spam. More precisely, if users no longer wish to receive advertising messages from any company, they have the possibility to block their display at any time, directly from the chat interface.

This change from Facebook will certainly generate a lot of criticism from global users, but no one can stop it, as it has been announced for a long time. Having said that, from now on we will see more ads displayed on Facebook, but this was to be expected, rumors regarding this change have been announced for some time.

"Such perks might sound appealing, but the main reassurance to privacy-loving Facebook users is that no company can get in touch with them if they haven't already started a conversation with the company themselves. This, according to Marcus, helps to "preserve the integrity of the platform."
