Today, Apple celebrates 10 years since its launch iPhone and this in a year when extremely many people are expecting a lot of changes for the Apple smartphone line. No one knows if Apple will release that really impressive iPhone that a lot of people are waiting for, but something really impressive is being prepared for us in the fall.

Until then, the people from Statista thought to show us how the iPhone has evolved in the 10 years of its availability on the market, both in terms of sales and how to use it. In the 10 years of availability of the iPhone, the terminal came to generate no less than 60% of the total revenues of the Apple company, 2.2 million applications being available for it.

The iPhone now exists in a market with 2.6 billion active smartphones, people looking at the screen of their terminals 88 times a day. Moreover, smartphones and tablets currently generate 50% of mobile internet traffic, and in the US it is estimated that 102 billion dollars in sales will be generated from smartphones, mainly the iPhone.

The iPhone completely changed the smartphone industry and continues to support its major evolution, even though sales are estimated to be lower than in 2015. Below you can see that Statista estimates iPhone sales in 2016 at 211 million units, with 20 million units less than in 2015, but it remains to be seen what Apple will announce.
