LG G6 was presented yesterday by the LG company and although the smartphone is interesting from certain points of view, the price asked by the Koreans for it is too high. According to some information provided by LG managers, the new LG G6 will cost no less than 800 dollars at the time of the official launch.
Although it has a screen that covers the entire front panel and a new camera, the LG G6 still comes with a 1-year-old processor, which will give it low performance. With a combination of old and new technologies, plus a price of 800 dollars, the LG G6 has minimal chances of winning new customers for the LG company, despite the work done to develop it.
The iPhone 7 has a price that starts at almost 720 dollars in the US, so almost 100 dollars less than the LG G6, and that will matter a lot. Yes, it does not have as big a screen, but it has better performance, a camera at least as good, it is cheaper than the LG G6 and it is made by the Apple company, so LG is at a disadvantage.
LG is not Samsung, it doesn't have such a strong brand, and with a smartphone that doesn't amaze and is expensive, it can't even conquer the Europeans, so the LG G6 seems "dead" from the start. I hope that the LG G6 will have better sales than the LG G5, but I think it will be an even bigger failure precisely because of the high price and the old Snapdragon 821 chip.
