Here are the most popular iPhone and Android applications in T1 2017

The most popular applications for iPhone and Android in Q1 2017 were announced by a company specialized in analyzing global smartphone application stores. SensorTower is the name of this company, and in the image below you can see a top 10 for AppStore, Google Play, but also one that contains a combination of the two.

In the AppStore you can see that Facebook Messenger was the most downloaded application globally, followed by WhatsAPp, Bitmoji, Instagram and Facebook. In the top 5 we have 4 applications from the Facebook company, and in the top 10 only 2 from Google, the Apple company not having any of its own applications in this top created by the company.

Going now to GOogle Play, you can see that the Facebook application occupies the first position in the top, followed by WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Snapchat. Facebook dominates the top 5 again, but in Google Play the company Google does not have any application in the top 10, the situation being similar to that of Apple, so it should not be viewed in a different way.

Looking now at the global top, you can see that we are talking about an arrangement similar to the one broken down, only that here WhatsApp occupies the first position instead of the Facebook Messenger or Facebook applications. In this top 10, the company Google is present with the YouTube application, but Facebook dominates smartphones without a right of appeal in terms of application popularity.

This top does not include the existing games in the two application stores, because if they were included, Facebook probably would not have been present in any top 5.
