iPad Mini 4, the only iPad Mini tablet model sold by Apple, will be discontinued by Apple in the next period. Although Apple released an updated version of the iPad Mini recently for customers, it seems that the sales of this series of iPad tablets are below the expectations of the American company.
The very high popularity of iPhone 7 Plus seems to have reduced the interest in iPad Mini tablets, and those from Apple react by removing the product from the offer. It was expected that some iPad models would disappear since sales of the tablet series have been falling for 12 fiscal quarters in a row, and the iPad Mini 4 will be the first victim in the line.
iPad Mini 4, despite the 7.9-inch screen, is 70 dollars, or euros, more expensive than the 2017 iPad launched by Apple in March. This latter model has a 9.7-inch screen and better components, so no one is interested in the iPad Mini at the moment, so the product will completely disappear from the offer soon.
Apple would not yet have established a plan to remove the iPad Mini 4 tablet from sale, but its disappearance will make the series forgotten in Apple stores. Instead of the iPad Mini 4, those from Apple will focus customers' attention on the rest of the iPad tablet models, but also on the Plus series terminals, which have 5.5-inch diagonal screens and are much more sought after.
