Snapchat announces the launch of Snap Map

Snapchat launched during this day Snap Map, a map accessible by all users of the platform to allow the viewing of snaps from various locations around the globe. Snapchat says that Snap Map will help its users to discover interesting pictures from various locations on the planet, be it sports events, important events and many others.

Users who share snaps through the Snapchat network also have the location associated with that picture or video clip, and Snap Map will allow you to discover them anywhere on the planet. Moreover, Snap Map will allow Snapchat users to share their own location so that their friends can see it if it is shared.

Of course, Snapchat allows location sharing via Snap Map only to the people we choose, so no one will see where we are at one moment or another. In order for the snaps shared by us to appear on Snap Map, it is still necessary that they be included in stories, so otherwise they will not be visible to the whole world.

Unfortunately, Snapchat's new Snap Map function is hidden among the application's menus, and can be accessed from the main menu with a pinch gesture. Snap Map is a new attempt by those from Snapchat to keep users busy in the application at a time when even Instagram has surpassed it with functions stolen from it.

"With the Snap Map, you can view Snaps of sporting events, celebrations, breaking news, and more from all over the world. If you and a friend follow each other, you can share your locations with each other so you can see where they're at and what's going on around them! Plus, meeting up can be a cinch. Only the people you choose can see your location — so if you're friends with your boss, you can still keep your location on the down low during a "sick day". Snaps you submit to Our Story can still show up on the Map, though!”
