Google Pixel 2 XL – The Big Screen Problem

Google Pixel 2 XL has a big problem with the screens of some units delivered to customers, they have a manufacturing defect not covered by the warranty.

Google Pixel 2 XL has a very big problem with the screens at the moment, the phone from Google proving that it is not manufactured with even that much care by the people from LG. The Google company chose LG to assemble the Google Pixel 2 XL before the official launch , but the decision doesn't seem to have been that good, because now we see some units that have problems with the screens, something that shouldn't have happened.

The Google Pixel 2 XL was shipped without Android installed for some US customers, but now it seems that the oleophobic layer, meant to protect the screen, is not applied very well. Although the oleophobic layer on the screen of a smartphone should be erased after months or years of use, in the case of the Google Pixel 2 XL it spreads over the entire screen after only a few weeks of use by the owners.

Google Pixel 2 XL – the big screen problem

The Google Pixel 2 XL has this substance wrongly applied to the screens of some units, with users managing to spread it over fairly large surfaces of the screens during use. As you can see from the image below, we are talking about a serious problem that Google Pixel 2 XL phones have, it being quite embarrassing for an expensive mobile phone, especially since it comes after others with burn-in, and so wet.

The even worse part for some customers is that Google may refuse to replace Google Pixel 2 XL units affected by the problem, with one customer already going through this situation. If Google refuses to replace the units delivered with this defect, then the Google Pixel 2 XL could have many unhappy customers who spent hundreds of dollars, or euros, and in the end received phones with major defects.
