ElectraTV is a new jailbreak solution released today by the creators of the Electra solution, it is intended to jailbreak Apple TV and tvOS 11.2 - 11.3 starting today. If you have an Apple TV running tvOS 11.2 – 11.3, then starting today you can use ElectraTV to exploit the Apple operating system.
ElectraTV can jailbreak tvOS 11.2 – 11.3 on Apple TV 4 and Apple TV 4K, but unfortunately old models of Apple TV, and old versions of tvOS are not supported by the software. For earlier versions of tvOS, up to 10.2.2, there is a workaround called backr00m that allows exploiting the Apple TV for those interested in doing so and running tweaks.
You can download ElectraTV from the website of the team behind this project, i.e. coolstar.org/electra, version 1.0.4 being currently available to anyone. The jailbreak procedure using ElectraTV should be quite simple, but you must be very careful not to update the operating system on the Apple TV in order not to lose access to the software.
