eMAG announced last night when Black Friday 2018 will take place in Romania, the online store providing important details about this event, together with other information describing its plans for the future. Among them is the intention of the online store to expand the network of delivery points, those from eMAG announcing the fact that they intend to open delivery points including gas stations, initially in Bucharest, then everywhere in Romania.
eMAG announced that it will collaborate with OMV, and 40 automatic delivery machines will be installed in these gas stations, as well as the Petrom ones, and customers will have non-stop access to them to pick up their ordered products. eMAG has announced that it will allow picking up from these machines only the orders that have been paid online, customers will receive a code by SMS that will allow them to access the storage space of the orders, alternatively a QR code that can be scanned to receive access custom made.

eMAG says that only small decent objects will be able to be delivered in such automatic machines from gas stations, including laptops, or even televisions, if they are not too large. In the future, eMAG will also allow you to pay by card at these automatic delivery machines, but it is difficult to say how long it will take until the system is implemented, and that if such a decision is made, everything depends on the success of the system in the version initial.
eMAG wants to expand the number of automatic delivery machines to 100 units in Bucharest by the end of 2018, and from 2019 it wants to launch the service including at the national level, so gas stations will become more crowded. Of course, only the products sold directly by eMAG will be able to be picked up from these automatic delivery machines, those sold by third parties through the marketplace cannot be ordered and delivered to such a location, only by courier.
