Android and iOS experienced a substantial increase during 2018 in terms of the number of downloads for applications, but also the money spent by people to buy them. In 2018, there were 113 billion downloads of applications for iOS and Android through the App Store and Google Play, over 10 billion more than in 2017.

Android and iOS also generated sales of 76 billion dollars in 2018 compared to 2017, here the increase is 20%, again very high, over 10 billion, just in terms of dollars. Games are the ones that have generated the highest revenues for companies, and that's perfectly normal, because they are generally very popular among all users.

Users who installed applications on iOS and Android phones spent, on average, about 3 hours a day playing with, 10% more than last year, and 20% more than in 2016. Facebook Messenger is the most downloaded application in the App Store and Google Play, followed by the Facebook application, the WhatsApp one being placed in the third position.

In terms of games, we have Helix Jump, Subway Surfers, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Love Balls, with iOS and Android users generating the most downloads for them. Finally, we have the applications that generated the most money on iOS and Android, Netflix being the top, followed by Tinder, Tencent Video, IQIYI, and Pandora Music.
