Digi Mobil. Orange, Telekom, Vodafone, are currently going through a harassment that is meant to show the strength of the Romanian state, but which in the end could turn into a very big disadvantage for the clients. I told you the other day that Digi Mobil, and the rest of the telecom companies, are being investigated by ANPC, the Senate, and the Ministry of Communications following the price increases made since the beginning of the year until now.
Digi Mobil. Three complaints received by ANPC would have started this avalanche of the Romanian state, with the aim of showing that these companies still work under the tutelage of a legislative system, which they must respect. Although none of the companies now blames the price increases on GEO 114/2018, at the beginning of the year Digi Mobil, together with the rest of the telecom environment, put a fixed emphasis on this legislative change in terms of their change plans.

Digi Mobil. The problem is that GEO 114/2018 was also a proof of the strength of the Romanian state, which wanted to collect turnover tax from operators, and found a method, after 10 years in which it did not do this. Unfortunately, it is possible that this new proof of strength of the Romanian state will have similar effects, through changes made by Digi Mobil, and the rest of the companies, which will also be detrimental to the customers.
Digi Mobil. Even if all these companies have very high annual revenues in Romania, this does not matter in front of the Romanian Government's desire to collect money for the budget, and what we are seeing now does not represent the end of the dispute. Next is the auction for 5G networks, in which Telekom has threatened that it will not participate if the limited amount of 1 billion euros is not changed, but Digi Mobil, plus the other operators, have not made any similar threat yet.
Digi Mobil. The telecom market in Romania will change again in 2019, and unfortunately you may see that everything I tell you now will come true, as it happened with what I told you at the beginning of the year.
