These Glasses will make your Life EASIER by Tracking your Eyes

A group of Stanford University researchers managed to create a pair of glasses that can automatically follow your gaze, to focus exactly where you are looking. The glasses are intended for people who already wear eyeglasses, and are meant to improve focus at close range, something that causes problems for many.

The lenses of these glasses are filled with liquid, which contracts or expands, depending on where our gaze is focused, and you can see in the video clip above how it all looks. Of course, a special software is also used, plus cameras, to follow the movements of our eyes, and determine the point where the gaze is focused.

For now, the technology behind these glasses is far from being implemented in a pair of eyeglasses that can be worn daily. However, as technology advances, it will be possible to create glasses that are much easier for anyone to use, and this is great news for everyone.

"Researchers at Stanford University have created glasses that track your eyes and automatically focus on whatever you're looking at. The authors note that, over time, our ability to refocus at near distances worsens as the lenses in our eyes stiffen. The condition, called presbyopia, typically kicks in at around age 45 and it affects more than a billion people. It's a key factor as to why many of us need to start wearing reading glasses, progressive lenses or monovision glasses in middle age."
