Emergency service 112 will have a very important change made during the next week by the Romanian Government as part of the changes that the crimes in Caracal force the authorities to make in the end. Although the minister of the MAI, Mihai Fifor, made it clear the other day that the 112 service will be moved from STS to his subordination, it seems that this will not happen, but another very important change will be made quickly.
After a discussion with Raed Arafat, Mihai Fifor would have given the necessary provisions for a ministerial order to bring to the centers 112 representatives from the police, ambulance, SMURD and firefighters. At the moment, the police operators are not present in the 112 centers together with those from the ambulance, SMURD, firefighters, but the MAI will change this and bring people from all institutions in the same place for better coordination.

The Minister of the Ministry of Interior says that by August 8, his order will be issued by which the police operators who respond to 112 calls will be stationed in the centers where there are also operators from the ambulance, SMURD, firefighters. This change will substantially reduce the interaction time between the 112 operators, and could have the effect of sending help more quickly to people, and this will theoretically save more lives.
