WhatsApp will have launched in a next update a dark mode for phones with iOS and Android operating systems, but unfortunately we also have some bad news regarding this solution. More precisely, although the WhatsApp application will have a dark mode implemented, it is not a "native" one, so to speak, but it is a kind of "Night Mode", which is not 100% "friendly" with the OLED screens of mobile phones.
WhatsApp has been working on this dark mode for some time, the American company wanting to offer its customers a dark interface as soon as possible, but for now it is far from doing so, and it will not do it exactly as we want. If this dark mode for WhatsApp is not a "native" one, this means that we will not have that black that we have seen in so many applications, but a very dark gray, which will not even reduce the consumption of OLED screens.

WhatsApp has said absolutely nothing so far about this dark mode that it has in full development, so there are no details, but it is quite clear that at least to a certain extent we will have what we expect. Normally, the entire interface of WhatsApp will be darkened by the engineers of the American company, but it is possible that at the beginning certain parts of the interface will be left with a lighter color.

WhatsApp seems to have left the implementation of the new dark mode on the back burner at the moment, and this is because the Americans are focusing on the implementation of advertisements, and other changes for the application. It is possible that ads, artificial intelligence for blocking messages, or the system for sending messages on Messenger and Instagram without accounts there will be implemented before this new dark mode is launched.
