The police are AWESOME, how they will use Samsung Phones in Cars

The police amazes with an announcement that took many people by surprise, this is how they will use Samsung phones in the cars sent on patrol daily.

The Chicago Police department is piloting the Samsung DeX In-Vehicle Solution and plans to roll out the solution across the 11th (Harrison) District throughout the year. The initiative is designed to give officers more tools at their fingertips, including the ability to write notes, complete reports, connect to CPD servers, capture images and video and more. DeX technology works with an officer's Samsung Galaxy smartphone, allowing it to function as a computer when connected to a tablet and keyboard mounted inside a police vehicle.

polity amazes with a new, original way of using Samsung phones in his patrol cars, and this is a huge change compared to what happened until now. More precisely, thanks to the DeX function that allows Samsung phones in computers, the Chicago police will give up the computers in their cars, and instead will use Korean products to make identifications or print fines.

The US police has started a pilot program by which it replaces the computers in cars with Samsung phones that have a DeX dock and can theoretically offer the same functions, but take up less space in cars. Phones will be able to be used in the same way as computers for everything that the police do even now, and if the program tested by a police station in the city is successful, then the whole city will switch to the new system by 2020.

The policemen will be able to take the Samsung phones, which have special applications for them, from the cars to check and issue alerts, even when they are not in the cars, so their mobility will help them a lot. Policemen will be able to issue alerts much faster when needed, and from their phones they will be able to access the cameras located in cities to analyze recordings, or see what is happening in various areas before intervening.

The police made the decision to test this system because half of the agents in Chicago already have Samsung phones provided by the institutions they work for, so the implementation of this program is very simple. Giving up old computers will reduce the operating costs of police stations by 15% in the first year, and by 32% every year after that, so we are talking about substantial savings for their budgets.

With all of this in front of you, you can now make a comparison between what the US police officers use, and the rusty, outdated, inefficient cars that patrol the streets of Romania now.
