Xiaomi announced yesterday that it will launch a clone of the Apple Watch for customers around the world, the Chinese manufacturer continuing the process of cloning Apple products. Xiaomi is Apple's strongest competitor on the smartwatch market, and apparently, without an Apple Watch clone, it could no longer be competitive. Xiaomi is known all over the world because it copied everything it could from the Apple company, and now it goes further and clones the Apple Watch.
Xiaomi will present the new smartwatch on November 5, i.e. next week, but nothing is known about the product, except that it will run Wear OS. The specifications of this smartwatch have not been revealed yet because Xiaomi wants to keep some secrets until November 5, but the design matters the most.
Xiaomi will strengthen its position as a copycat of Apple with this new smartwatch, but the Chinese care about profit and nothing more, without compromises. It is still possible that Apple will force Trump's hand to force China to respect the intellectual property rights of American companies, and that way things will get seriously complicated.
