11.036 cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania until today, April 26, the authorities in our country publishing just a few minutes after the latest information on the evolution of the disease among citizens, and we are talking about a new increase.
The number of people cured as a result of infection with the new Coronavirus is also increasing, and this in the conditions where the increase in new cases continues, but we see that the percentage of people who have been declared cured is getting closer to 30%.
Almost 10.000 tests were done from yesterday to today, and the number of new cases increased by 401, which was to be expected considering the unexpectedly high number of tests processed, almost double the one registered yesterday.
Unfortunately, there are still more than 200 people in intensive care, so we are talking about a situation that creates concern, and it is important that this number be as low as possible so that hospitals can manage to treat all very seriously ill people.
"Until today, April 26, on the territory of Romania, 11.036 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 3.054 were declared cured and discharged.

On the territory of Romania, there are 11.775 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 24.052 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.
Up to this date, at the national level, 136.518 tests have been processed.
In the last 24 hours, 488 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.172 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
By the competent structures of the MAI, 486 criminal files have been drawn up, up to now, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code.
The police and gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 4.829 people who did not comply with the traffic restriction measure. Contraventional sanctions were applied to these persons, in the amount of 9.261.520 lei.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, according to information obtained by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 1.512 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.157 in Italy, 226 in Spain , 26 in France, 16 in Germany, 64 in the UK, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland , Luxembourg and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 74 Romanian citizens abroad, 19 in Italy, 16 in France, 23 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 3 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland and one in the US, have passed away.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 21 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 8 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
