Today we have a new increase in the number of infections with the new Coronavirus in Romania, another 152 new cases being reported today by the authorities, and so we are heading towards the total figure of 20.000 infections from the end of February until now, that is in over 2 months.
The number of people cured of infection with the new Coronavirus has not yet reached 70% of the total number of infected people, remaining at 69%, but every day we have new reports of people who have been declared cured by the authorities.
As you can see, we have yet another increase in the number of new cases compared to the previous day, which is to be expected because we are not yet in the phase where the reports will only go to a decrease in the number of infections.
We must continue to be very careful about the protective measures that the authorities recommend because they can be extremely helpful in preventing infections, especially if we want to resume our previous life to a good extent.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 110 contraventional sanctions, worth 129.750 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 3 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
At the same time, on June 2 of this year, 168 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 3.084 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.699 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 84 in France, 583 in Germany, 97 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates , Malta, Brazil and Sweden.
