The coronavirus remains a huge problem for Romania in the future, and this is because a lot of cases are still being registered in our country, and it is normal since we have a series of important restrictions that have brought even more contact between Romanians.
"Until today, September 26, on the territory of Romania, 121.235 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
97.554 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.552 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. To date, 4.687 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.
In the interval 25.09.2020 (10:00) - 26.09.2020 (10:00) 54 deaths (28 men and 26 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș were recorded , Bacau, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Calarasi, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iasi, Maramureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 20-29 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 14 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 16 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 20 deaths in the over 80 category.
51 of the registered deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.249. Of these, 512 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 2.352.650 tests have been processed. Of these, 24.231 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14.748 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 9.483 on request.
Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 97 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until September 26 have been reported.
On the territory of Romania, 9.638 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 7.278 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 24.124 people are in home quarantine, and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 1.306 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 555 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 376 contraventional sanctions, worth 61.810 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 2 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.
The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 6.693 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.917 in Italy, 1.253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 119 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Hungary and Qatar. From the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) until this moment, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 428 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
