Coronavirus Romania New HUGE Increase Cases March 24

A new very large increase in cases was registered on March 24 in Romania due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the numbers have been continuously increasing for some time, and it is expected to exceed the number of 7000 new cases every day soon.

Unfortunately, the number of people hospitalized in intensive care is constantly increasing, which puts enormous pressure on more and more hospitals, and the number of deaths continues to be very high, so this motivates more and more serious discussions regarding the imposition of new restrictions.

Yesterday, however, a record of vaccinations against the Coronavirus was registered in Romania, and this news is extremely good, and this is because the vaccination for the 3rd stage was opened and there are more and more active vaccination centers now.

"Until today, March 24, on the territory of Romania, 913.143 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
