Coronavirus Romania Large Number of New Cases April 9

The Coronavirus pandemic continues in Romania with a new large number of new cases registered during the last 24 hours, the authorities once again confirming many Romanians as being infected with the new virus, which shows us the extent of the pandemic now.

Unfortunately, very large numbers of new cases are still registered in intensive care in Romania, the number of deaths is also very high at the moment, and it is very possible that the situation will go in the same direction due to the large number of new cases daily .

The vaccination campaign recorded slight decreases in the number of people who were vaccinated each day, but it still remains at over 50.000 people immunized, and this is excellent news for the return to normality.

"

Until today, April 9, on the territory of Romania, 998.555 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
