Telekom: Important Decision Before the Partial Sale

Telekom fought

Telekom is about to sell its fixed services division in Romania to those from Orange, the agreement between the two telecommunications groups having already been initialed for some time, now awaiting the approval of the European Commission. In the meantime, Telekom decided that it would not hurt to focus more on increasing the customer base for the mobile services division, which will remain independent after the fixed services division is sold.

Telekom wants its mobile services division to remain strong in Romania, and this in the conditions where it is starting to have more and more serious competition from DIGI Mobil. I have seen in the last year that DIGI Mobil has managed to substantially increase its network ports every year, without the customer base growing to the same extent, but this is a completely different problem that is not necessarily related to what is happening at Telekom.

Telekom: Important Decision Before the Partial Sale

Telekom, on the other hand, has a totally different policy, and wants to offer the customers of the mobile services division only the best services they can take advantage of in Romania, regardless of which company they contract the services from. We all know that Telekom does not exactly have the best services on the mobile telephony side, but the operator continues to invest, and in the last year has managed to convince more and more card customers to become its subscribers, simultaneously with an increase in porters .

Telekom also managed to keep in its network the customers it attracted through porting, something that DIGI Mobil did not quite manage to do in a similar way, and now it is bragging about it. Telekom's decision to focus more on the mobile services division, and to keep it profitable after the fixed services division disappears is a very good one, and will more than likely keep the company strong on the market, until be sold.

Telekom wants to remain a very serious competitor on the mobile services market in Romania, and it has every chance to do so, even if it loses half of what makes it up.
