Klaus Iohannis, the president of Romania, sent today a very important message for all Romanians and talks about vaccinating people from all over the country, saying that the vaccine must reach more people from rural areas during this period.
Klaus Iohannis knows more than certainly the fact that in the rural environment vaccination is not exactly done at high altitudes, which of course slows down the return to normality, so he demands a change from this point of view for the good of the Romanians.
"The complete reopening of all socio-economic sectors and the building of a post-pandemic Romania depends on the success of vaccinating as many Romanians as possible.
Mayors and other local authorities, regardless of political color, must be actively involved in the vaccination campaign. The success we've had so far is predominantly in the urban environment, that's why it's important to act more intensively in the rural area as well, because there access to a vaccination center is often more difficult.
People need to be informed, in small towns they even go from door to door to tell people how important it is to get vaccinated. This is where the mobile centers come in, which are essential to increase the rate of immunization in rural areas as well.
It is important that we go to the people, and that the local authorities, with all the means at their disposal, facilitate their vaccination. Let's create opportunities for vaccination both in the workplace and in recreational spaces."
